This week, I'll be continuing my research into the Chapter 1 proposal report. I focus on identifying the problem statement and objectives for my project. A problem statement helps someone in understanding the problem, identifying project goals, and outlining the scope of work. The objectives of the project are what I hope to accomplish by the end of it.
Development of Wind Speed Monitoring System using Microcontroller and IoT
Problem Statement
Storms always occur in areas close to the coast and the sea, especially during the northeast monsoon season. Local residents face issues when they learn about the presence of strong winds too late, because local residents cannot detect the early signs of a storm. They only notice the impacts of a storm after there are obvious signs, such as extreme wind causing trees to fall. They will unable to prepare and may suffer property damage and loss of life.
Objectives
- To design a wind speed monitoring system using microcontroller and IoT
- To develop a wind speed monitoring system using Arduino and Arduino Cloud for data collection
- To measure the wind speed and provide information about the changes to users
